I measured something between 5 and 5.4 mm (depending on how much I squeeze) but 4.8 mm seems to be the most common. Did Hay really use a somewhat proprietary size or is my Venier just broken?

Our new apartment is fairly bright (bright wooden floor, all white open kitchen) and we want the Hay Loop legs with an oak tabletop as a dining table.
We're trying to keep the white, wooden colour scheme so white legs would be the first choice. But black legs on wooden tables look so much better. Help!!
