Sooo anyway.......
Change of plan, I've sorted most of the fire damage stuff out for starters which is cool, also I'm not in an emergency to get this built now because I've finished putting my Sunday best together (had the frame lying around for missions), so I now have a bike to ride around on which isn't in danger of snapping in half.
It's a super nice 753 track frame built by Barry Chick, it's really nice, maybe too nice...
It's been two long years since I've had a hipster sled as pretty as bazza and whilst sliding around on it these past few weeks I've realised that I am actually not that keen on having a obviously flashy bike any more. Nearly every day on the commute someone has said "awesomeeee bieeeek dudebroski, like totally bodaciousss". I'm not keen on locking it up, lets put it like that.
So I'll be hanging onto the Duratec and selling my Sunday best instead.
My mate was over just now, I broke the news of this potential decision to and he said "What!? You're selling Barry for the ugly duracell thing?" That was the decider really.
This bike is now going to be my pub biek, after a few years of smashing around town in all weather and getting locked up outside Hermets Cave it will probably be nice and ratty. Well I'm going to give it a head start anyway.
I'll be using the cranks/bottom bracket from Barry, they're nice but not as shouty as new silver omnoms, the wheelset from the Bianchi, a beat Truvativ MTB finishing kit #riserlyf from the parts bin and I need to find a beat up saddle from somewhere, probably on here to complete the build. That plus a gradual collection of stickers and crap and it should be looking horrific in no time.
I can't wait to get this built, I am going to have so much fun smashing around on this not worrying about getting stone chips or shitting it every time I bunny hop road iron in case the front tyre clips the fork crown.
The build starts tomorrow at about 8pm, I'll keep youz posted. (Thats if I've got the right headset)
TL;DR/ New build planned - pub biek.

Yo SE's! There has just been a crash on New Cross Rd eastbound near the bus garage/post office. Two lanes are closed eastbound and traffic is being diverted onto one of the westbound lanes, expect chaos on all major surrounding routes so be safe y'all!
The crash is between a motorcyclist and a motorist and it looks real bad, I hope everyone involved is going to be ok.

When I first took to the open road I didn't know cycle training existed, I remember doing a road awareness thing when I was about 9 and that's about it.
In fact it was only when I joined the forum that I knew cycle training was a thing, by that point I'd already been on the road for 3 maybe 4 years.

Ahh that's a great find, I'll try and use that one this evening on the way home instead of "ARE YOU FUCKING DUMB AS SHIT!!?" When some prick inevitably runs out onto the inside lane in rush hour on E&C.
Saying that I never have the luxury to stop and give a lecture, if I did I'd end up being a hood ornament for the car doing that's also doing 15-20 right behind me.

Haha don't even mention it, I wouldn't want to burden anyone on holiday with the task of shipping a gangsta to the UK in one piece + it not going missing in customs.
Enjoy your holiday man.
But... If a Japanese Akita so happens to find itself in your suitcase when you're packing and it gets through customs then fucken dibs mate.

Ahhhgh! I literally just bought a replacement frame an hour ago :|
Oh dear.
But I do know for a fact that @jesm would be totally stoked to buy the mash off of you.
Thanks for giving me first dibs @rallyman1978, really appreciate it!

Cheers man, I'm a big fan of your rad Dolan, it's inspired the Duratec build.
