1 inch HT on a custom frame is like speccing an italian bb, waste of time. 1 1/8th or tapered should be the only option unless you really like the aesthetics of a quill. Otherwise you'll end up paying a fortune for a carbon 1 inch fork when you realise you want to go threadless

54cm blue Ribble winter frame. Digi camo vinyl on drilled alpina track forks and a fizik saddle. Sugino RD2's and some nice sram chainrings. 8 speed set up, mostly Tiagra but should last atleast a few winters. Cables are all newish and shifts pretty well. However it doesnt come with a front brake (fork is drilled for one) but i can throw in an Ultegra 6700 one for an extra £20. Does come with some basic flat pedals though so you will be able to ride away

Due to the lack of front brake and bartape im not sure what to ask for this, start at £200? Open to offers if you can justify what you think its worth

Trying to count the chainrings is a mindfuck. Assuming theres 5, is there any logical reason to run that many chains? Incase 4 snap? Just seems like it would be a bitch to clean

Surely position of the bottle cages should be in position to the rest of the frame. Ie if they were too high some bottles wouldnt fit and if they were too low itd get in the way of the DT cage. Chainrings could change as well so it wouldnt make sense to choose cage placement like that, especially when it can be fixed by just using a different clamp

This still confuses me. How could he know where the deraileur would sit if he didnt know what size chainrings you were using, the type of mech and which clamp? Any change of those 3 would affect where the derailleur clamp sits

Why not buy a few kalloy posts at a tenner each in every size before buying more expensive seatposts you just have to sell on? Crap in the seatube could stop the post getting in as well

Snapped off when a friend lifted the bike 90 degrees onto its back wheel. Theyre very brittle. Seems to work fine though

Brake, 28s F+R for winter and risers or tight clearance with 25s+woundups and drops for brakeless fixie skidding. Ive ridden pretty much everything on this (including some light DH) and it performs brilliantly

This. Seen nothing but good things about him, can't say the same for Rychtarski. That said i'm very happy with mine although it was second hand. If i order a custom at some point it will be an Orlo

Rychtarski should fix it much cheaper than that although you could have to pay postage there and back. Still could work out cheaper
