Here are the ones that made it as far as my apartment......... Favourites for taste/overall are the black "Jade 1901" followed by "Jade Terminus"

Lost a few afternoons/evenings with "L'Enjoleuse"

And for effects the "Kallnacher and the "La Belle Epoque" but I don't really have a complaint about any of the bottles there.

There are a couple of good shops in Paris; Vert d'absinthe, Rue d'Ormesson, 4eme and Caves du Roy, 31 Rue Simart, 18eme and an excellent one in Berlin: Absinthe Depot, Weinmeisterstraße 4.

In each of those they will be happy to recommend a good one. But you will often have to wait behind a tourist saying that they thought it was forbidden and trying to suggest that they are not "real" absinthes, then after having everything explained to them, saying "That's interesting" before leaving, promising to come back and buy something at some point in the future.

The one listed by OP is a kind of happy shopper one, you can find it in supermarkets and the effect is a bit like having half a redbull followed by a pastis BUT it's not that bad and certainly one of the better ones of that kind..........

Perhaps it is common knowledge to those using quill stems on frames with short head tubes, but it was news to me until my girlfriend came home from work with her handlebars in her hand. It was only luck that she didn't have an accident. Steerers taper at the bottom so if your frame has a short headtube make sure you don't insert the stem too far into it or the expander will expand onto the tapered part and can dislodge far easier than if the expanded part of the stem is in the proper place.

Regardless of the excuse for not seeing you the fact that she stopped at all means she must be aware she hit you and so leaving without exchanging details is the crime you should push for. Hit and run is taken pretty seriously and even if her witness backs up her version of the collision there can be no excuse for not stopping. Good luck, hope you get a result, heal up fast.
