A few changes since the last photo. Now 2x11, TRP Spyres, Gravel King SKs on Hope 29er wheels, flared drops, Eriksen post with a Flite and Thomson stem (that needs painting black).

Warm soapy water will do, just make sure you oil it afterwards to prevent it rusting more. A bit of cruft in the slot is no big deal but you want to clean the pivot area and get some oil in there.

Bicycle Design by Mike Burrows is definitely worth a read.

I got a Victorinox Classic Santoku with rosewood handle (so I'm not tempted to put it in the dishwasher!) a while back. It's really very good - very thin blade, light, easy to sharpen and nicely balanced.

Surly Ultra New or Paul Components are the easiest to find but not cheap. There's a trials bike hub that you can use too (Tartybikes?) But uses a splined cog rather than threaded. I think Mack will also make them too, but they're not on their website.

You can get the pins separately - I've just bought two sets for a couple of custom SAKs I want to put together. I paid $31 for six, delivered. They seem very nicely made.

Then found the cards and instructions for Creationary so tried to pull out all the right pieces so we can play it properly. Took 2 hours to find them, but it's definitely worth it.

Been getting sick of not being able to find the right bits in the piles of Lego so spent a few hours with the kids sorting it into several boxes: bricks, plates, wheels, angled bits, minifigs, etc. Much easier to build what we want now.

I did - was a lovely day out. Really enjoyed the two main climbs - I'd not been up the one from Redbrook before and it was a bit of a treat. I think we rode together briefly at the start - you were chatting to the guy on the Condor Tempo on the way to the bridge; I was riding with him on the fixed Cotic.

Yes. We got some Diall branded ones from B&Q. They are ok, but you'll probably get more choice of colour temp eleswhere.

They used to, but I think they changed to a 42mm chainline a few years back.

Try the Keep widget. Pin a single note in Keep then only show the pinned notes in the widget.

Rough Diamond was fun too. First 30km done in am hour, then 7 hours for the next 130. 7 hours of rain and borderline hypothermia at the final control. Took me an hour and a half to warm up before before the last stretch.
