As it is now it's a charity donation page to a business, which just seems weird to me.
I had the same feeling, seems weird to not go the route of kickstarter and selling/preordering products.
Was also looking for social media links to share but seemingly the only bag maker ever without a website/twitter/instagram/facebook all churning out promotional material.

I met them at the cycle show a couple of years ago ex-cabbies who all had invented stories of how they had seen fatal crashes where the cyclist was at fault while working in the office directly alongside the incident they had picked. I would guess they have revived the idea to try and get more investment after parting ways with the previous people who gave them money.

So an ex-con with sweatshop worker skills who has no job having left prison as it's more sustainable to keep using the cheaper prison labour?
They could setup outside of a prison but that would cost more as the roof overhead would be more than 6ft by 8 ft(if they even get that there). Doubt they will break free from poverty unless they plan to dig them out or help jump the fence.
Or am I missing something and the project is aimed at death row?

Depends how they gave notice, they most likely had an agreement with the previous owners of Evans and have sent multiple notices to the old addresses which have obviously been ignored. If all they had in the way of communication from Sports Direct was show boating and demanding lower rent then locking the premises and taking everything on site as payment of rent due makes sense. I've had to arrange similar in my past job for landlords of an office block, locked out a solicitors firm and must have caused countless damage and disruption to clients they had by extension but if they made a choice to ignore notices continue trading and not vacate or communicate what are they to do.
