Brought the frame to him.
Lovely dude indeed. Showed me the frame he was working on (had a nice Colnago which just came out of the over, in the very same wine red color I wanted!).
Also showed his 'repair' guy, who, turns out, is a proper frame builder (even Reynolds 753 authorized !) who worked for Chas Roberts for many years.

Not bad.

Anyway, the full job costs me £110, which is nothing considering 1) who's doing it 2) full set of decals, even the Holdsworthy one in the second picture above 3) the price other quoted for a wet paint

Also he's almost sure that frame could have passed thru his hands already when first built !
