Hi everyone,
as I'm sure a lot of you know I run No Quarter Bikes. We offer custom paint-work, powder-coat and everything in between.
Over the last year I've had a ongoing battle trying to find a quality, reliable designer and printer, things got lost in translation and I never got quite what I wanted so I wanted to skip this step.
A few weeks ago I invested in a high quality plotter, software, vinyl etc so I could do this for myself, I'm gaining confidence with the software, the machine and generally how to go about printing decals. I'm still very new to this but I would like to offer this service to the forum.
Prices will be extremely reasonable and because it's just me and my printer you get exactly what you want, no information lost. I also know there's a lot of designers on this forum, I'm happy for you to send me files to print so I can send them to your clients.
I've just started out so I won't have a website for a while but I do have a Facebook page:

In all honesty I think it's a bit of both.
I went to Yorkshire last year on a bike that was flexible, slow and generally not much fun to ride. Did I enjoy myself? Yes. Would I have enjoyed myself a little more with a better bike? Yes
I think so much gets taken into consideration when selecting bikes or even parts, most aero, lightest, cheapest, most durable etc etc but sometimes purely how something rides is important.

Hi,
recently updated all my technology kit so I've got a lot of spare odds and sods around that I no longer need which will be updated as and when I find new bits.
Brand-new Apple magic mouse, never used only taken out of sleeve for photos. £SOLD
5th Gen iPod Nano 16gb in purple. Does have a few small marks to the side of it but nothing major. Actual device only I'm afraid, I don't have box or cables for this anymore.

Incase Macbook 13" case. Good condition, it's hardly been used! It's had very little use so still in very good condition. Nice neoprene exterior and soft inside, stitching and side bumper details are also nice. I'd like £12.50 posted please.

Picture of the Haro frame above now it's been powder-coated.
Please excuse the mess on the floor caused from wet sanding.

After installing new blasting facilities to our workshop I'm extremely happy with the results. Frames in for powder-coating have a much smoother finish and we can spray paint on much thinner.

Understand what you're saying @Kaaaaaaandries, almost feel we're walking the same path to the perfect bicycle

Up until a few years ago every bike I owned had down-tube shifters because all I had tried were Shimano systems.
If you're on a budget I'd strongly recommend Sram Apex, I've ridden it quite a few times before and it has similar characteristics to Force and Red, it gives a more satisfying 'clunk' than Campagnolo or Shimano seems to.
Match that up with some good quality wheels and tyres and you're about set.

I've ridden hundreds and hundreds of different bikes in different sizes. I've never had a bike fit but I believe I've pretty much got there just by trying so many different bikes and components. I always thought I was a 57cm st and a 55cm tt until I tried something that was 55cm st and 53cm tt.
It's amazing how having the right size frame, good quality tyres at correct pressures and the bike being set up correctly makes a bigger difference than quality of the parts themselves (obviously aerodynamics and weight reduction make a difference but just for training you go by 'feel')
If you're looking for the best of everything why not get a frame made? Custom sizing, classic style lugs possibly with 1 1/8th steerer so you can run modern forks (or steel, your choice) and a nice cockpit with no convertors. Also compact bars with brifters are always a win.
Not sure that I'm just thinking what I would do in your situation but personally I'd have something like this...

Also you mention you're not wanting to go with and modern group with brifters. Have you tried any others apart from Shimano 105? I personally hate shimano shifters and the fact the brake lever is a shifter, those 105 shifters are also absolutely huge and just feel horrible (all my opinion, of course). Try modern(ish) Chrous or modern Sram before you make your decision.

Thanks guys!
Something pretty cool coming very soon. Ferrari have Rosso Corsa, Bianchi have Celeste - we have purple. It's taken nearly 3 months to get the colour perfect but we're convinced we've got it. I'll be showing the final colour in the next few days but here's step 3 of the mix (we're keeping it a secret what goes into the paint)
