I did consider the Caad12, but having riden the caad9 many moons ago, I wanted to get something a little different. But, I may go down that route, or maybe the caadx for extra fun options if nothing comes up with the Volare.

I've nearly finished building up my family carrying/mucky commuter beast, but feel I'll (definitely) get left behind on the social laps around Regents so thinking of building up something racier.
I've always liked the aesthetics of the Volare Disc. While I'll love the 931 disc, that would pretty much swallow up my whole budget, so my thoughts turn to the 853.
Im looking for the medium, ideally in the 2018 livery and in good condition. If you have something that is equiv in spec, I'm open to ideas too

I've got a few double sided stones you're welcome to help yourself too to get started. I think they're 600/1000 and 2000/6000 or something thereabouts

Got a pair of Horizons to pop on the wheels but now I'm thinking of making changes to the wheelset. The wheels currently on there are Hope Pro laced on Stans Arch rims. My only reason for wanting to change them are the rims themselves, which measure 24mm-ish on my calipers, meaning it's likely to be in the 20mm internal width range. I might be drinking the Koolaid in thinking I need to go wider (the new Arch rims are 26mm internal).

So, buy a new wheelset and sell what I have at the moment, or buy new rims and spokes and reuse the hubs???
