Also deffo up for a decent ride anywhere else on Sunday. Would offer to plan / lead (I really want to do this at some point!) but having never done it before and lacking any kind of garmin or gps device I might find it tricky.
Happy to go wherever. Would love it we could do a 40/50 mile min. Maybe shorter with the option to ride back and double the distance? Need to stretch mah leeeeeeeeeegs! :)

I am thoroughly enjoying this thread. I mean it's got it all. 'News', clarification of news, discussion of news, political commentary, descent into argument, descent into absurdity. Random musics, and most importantly, accusations of racism. And all in two pages! Two thumbs up from me. All other threads I might have looked at are now defunct, I've gotten my lunchtime entertainment.

I would hazard a guess that the apparent reduction may have been absorption rather than water loss, pulses tend to swell and take up fluid.
See this is exactly what I thought, which is why I added more water, but I was only adding the pulses in the morning before work, there were none in it at all when it dried out overnight!

Slow cookers rarely dry things out
I dunno when I checked my chili in the morning before I went to work the sauce had seriously reduced, if I hadn't added water I dunno what would have happened to it.
Unfortunately though, I was a bit too generous with the water in my worrying about it drying out, and it ended up a bit watery instead :(

Muesli has got protein in it. Nuts and seeds. Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Depends what you define as muesli. Most of it is sugar filled junk. Far more sugar and refined carbs than protein. Fair enough if you buy proper quality stuff or make your own, but if it's shop bought crap filled with dried fruit (not that dried fruit is a bad thing but when it's more sugar on your already sugar filled cereal... yadayada) you might as well eat cardboard. Probably more fibre in that.
As ever I start a new year with a ridiculous plan to do exciting new (ridiculous) things. One of them is potentially race for a laugh, so I think it's time I got that idea in gear. Though the next step is going to involve actually purchasing a blingy geary road bike so we'll see how far THAT goes...
