Just started snowing while riding to work this morning. Not the horrible wet sort, but a light sprinkling of the dry-ish kind. Make it kind of scenic with the sunrise. Did a bit of rad riding at the end since I took my CX bike today, not bad for a Tuesday/10.

They're mad for the Aventons & completely unnecessary skids in Hull.

Was bike packing in Scotland last year & riding back into Glasgow, after riding around the Outer Hebrides, rode through Yoker. Heh, good stuff.

Yeah, I don't get those style ones either. I saw some the other day in a bike café, thought them a bit of a rubbish idea, & saw that the price was £60 just for a rear one. I don't get it.

Been tempted by these for a while as touring/casual shoes. The other colours looked more water resistant (seen the other grey ones in a shop before).

The Home Office justified the higher postal charges, saying they reflected the "increased costs of processing postal applications compared to online applications".

It said the reforms would shift the financial burden of providing passports on to users of the service instead of taxpayers - "millions of whom do not currently hold passports".

It added that the proposals are unrelated to the reintroduction of blue passports, which will not create an extra cost.

New tyres & bars this weekend. Taken it on both CX & road rides in the last two days & it's held up great.

Hm, that's a shame. All I have at the mo & are off on a ride on it tomorrow. It'll have to do for now.

New tyres (38mm Gravel King SKs) & bars (Ritchey Streem Comp) day! Just figuring out the bar angle before wrapping with Zipp SC CX tape & some Fizik gel pads.

Looking proper sharp! I went touring on Veloflex clinchers last year in Scotland & didn't have a single puncture - you might be able to get away with it :)

I could really tell the difference between the original steel & the replacement carbon fork I got last week. Half a kilo difference at the front! Now it's the back end which is the heavy bit.

I was a little late to the party. Those track drops were so uncomfortable.

Huh, am surprised! Perhaps the other tyres I've tried on my Donohue are larger than their states sizes then, as it's nowhere near as tight with Veloflex ones as is current with some Bontrager tyres.

Puts Gravelmap to shame (if you like straight roads that is)!

Cheers for those ideas, will have a play around tonight with an old GoPro mount/see if I can find any suitable washers. Had a look on SJS last night but would rather not spend £20 if not necessary.
