Never had a rusty chain, come to think of it. Which of these would be my best bet? Z510 should be fine, or would a 10-speed be better?

Planet-X doesn't seem to stock the Alfine and I don't want to order at Rose because I don't like their stupid catalogues. How does this look for a crankset?
I'd run it with one of these: http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/xcr-bb-mount-chainguide.htm
And should I get a Dura Ace, Ultegra or 105 BB? Price difference is minimal but I'm skint as all hell so wouldn't mind saving the money if it doesn't make a difference.

I've been thinking about turning my cross-bike into a 1x10 or perhaps even a 1x1, it's a Ridley Crosswind with a Campy Centaur 10 speed gruppo.
And now the pedal thread on my left crank (square tapered) is bodged (I don't wanna talk about it) so I figured that might be a good opportunity for changing going 1x1/10, I can get a new crank-set for €50 but I'm willing to spend more if I necessary.
What would be the best route to go 1x10 without spending a shit-ton of money? What would I get for a battered set of Centaur shifters and front and rear derailleurs? Is 1x1 on vertical drop-outs doable or will it be a chain dropping mess?

I ran 7k in approx 38 minutes today without blisters nor calf soreness, that's about the same as my last shod run so I think that concludes my barefoot transition. I'm enjoying running much much more now, mostly because I'm running on horse-trails instead of the stupid pavement.
With the dreaded winter coming I'm afraid I'll have to start wearing shoes again, so I bought a pair of Merrel Vapor Gloves, but for now I'll enjoy the sand between my toes.

I vote pink / blue, get some pre-puke-green Lampre kits and you're golden!
