Hmm could be a dirty relay or dry solder joint. Try playing with all the controls first and see if theres one which causes the sound to come back

Nice amp, play around with the tape monitor and input selection switches, if they crackle and cause the channel to play again then I can sort it in a few minutes if you bring it over.

Possibly, what amp and whats the issue?

Very very well I reckon, same era and both the ul6's and HK were high end pieces of kit in their day, the HK is an absolute monster, dual mono, weighs a ton and has those cheesy LED meters on the front!

That Onkyo is budget crap, any 80's or 90's Technics will blow it away. I've got about 10 sitting here, best one is a massive SU V650, 100 if you like

can confirm the tire holds air and has plenty of life left in it

Has seen very little use, absolutely no wear to the brake surface, kumo s33 tubular tire fitted but I haven't checked if if holds air, bearings are smooth as anything £70 collection from stratford

Correct you dont need an external phono amplifier
