What’s a good high volume, slick 700c tyre?

Mainly gonna be for road usage and I feel like 700c might be a little more versatile than 650 (otherwise I’d definitely just buy horizons).

I haven’t bought wheels yet because I can’t decide on tyres and suffer from chronic indecision.

Is it at all possible to convert to 2-speed..?

In a coffee fuelled excitement I have ordered a Secan frame! Going to swap over all salvageable parts from my mangled genesis.

One thing I’ll def need is new wheels. Is there much advantage in going 650bx47/50 over 700x38? (Both with guards)

So I've been speaking to @maynardeames about building a Brompton and he's been INCREDIBLY helpful.

I was hit by a car on my road bike over summer, so that's borked and I'm looking to replace it with a new commuter. My logic is: Brompton for commuting/nipping about and then maybe a 'real' bike for longer miles if I find I want one.

I've never ridden a Brompton before though and I'd like to try one out before making the leap! So my question; is there any way I can do this? There was an extended test-ride at cyclesurgery but that seems to have ended.

I think I’d like a two speed S-type. But worried about the bars being too low, so perhaps S-type bars on a higher stem?

This may be way too vague for a wanted thread but I'd like some kind of do it all bike along the lines of an Arkose, that I can commute/club/tour on.
