I'm confused, brand new 105 is hardly making things original, quite the opposite.

I built up an old steel frame with a Shimano 600 Tricolor groupset I found on eBay. The group must be approaching 30 years old, but the shifting on a brand new chain and cassette is still flawless, and it looks the part.

If you're set on the silver go for Athena for the shiny finish. 105 silver looks a bit dull and not very retro in my opinion.

Temps much more agreeable so I ditched the full length gloves without regret for the first time this year. Also swapped my winter tights for the Rapha Randonee shorts I bought in the sale last summer that didn't fit me then...I'm a few kilos lighter so they do now. Result!

Yep this is the old 'Classic Track' - equivalent to the current 'Allday' model but without bottle cage bosses and mudguard mounts.

I used to have some MKS GR-9 and they were definitely too narrow and we're a bit painful as a result (size 11 feet).

I've been thinking of getting a set of flats with clips/cages again. It's about time I had a bike that I can just hop on.

The MKS GR-10 or the Urban Platform ones both look good. Would be interested to hear if there are other similar options.

Finally got this thing built and bar wrapped. Unknown (probably 531) frame purchased from @sacredhart for a bargain!

Shimano 600 tricolor group from eBay and some silver Planet X wheels that have been sitting in a cupboard for too long. Cheap and quick commuter.

Liking the setup so I will probably transplant everything on to a tartier frame if/when the opportunity arises, then build this up fixed from the parts bin. But for now quite happy with it.

As for opening GPX files directly, I've read on the Elemnt user forum that you can open a GPX file in an email attachment in iOS and tap "Open with" to the Elemnt companion app, then sync to device.
