Nothing can help anyone deal with road surfaces in North West London. Sorry.
That said, GP 5000 TL are pretty much the best tyres you can get nowadays in terms of low rolling resistance/comfort. Bicycle rolling resistance rates the marathon's tread at 14 vs 10 for the 5000 TL, and sidewall protection at 5 for the marathon vs 6 for the 5000 TL (higher is better).
In a nutshell, if you want tyres which are going to feel crazy more comfortable, 5000TL any day vs the marathon. If you want something that will be more hardwearing, keep with your marathons.
Let me know!

From Mesiplus when I posted in the wrong thread:
@mespilus
Dibs 11-34 cassette.
Potential dibs 2x GP5000.
How will the GP5000s improve my ride compared to the Marathons
I currently endure to deal with the road surfaces of outer north west London/ -

Bought a new wheelset which came with new/unused/0 metres to them tyres, rotors and cassette which I don't need.
Wouldn't mind posting these by the end of the day to recoup some of the dorrah spent.
2xConti GP 5000 TL 28 £70+postage (cheapest I could find online was £85.90 Mantel)
R7000 11-34 £30+postage (cheapest I could find online was £37.50 Wiggle)
2x SM-RT70 ice tech centre-lock disc rotors, 160mm £36+postage (cheapest I could find online was £45.98 Tweaks)
Happy to cut you a deal if you're interested in more than one item.
Will add pics in a second.

Thanks for the shout, @Saffronspokes. @JoeM02 had reached out to me and I was very sad to find out the geo chart doesn't quite work for me.
Stunning bike, on point build, great price. GLWS!

Shout out to @Saffronspokes and his mate who now owns the bike.
Popped into London Saturday, bike delivered, jobs a good'un.
That NAS is dope AF. If everyone in front of me can't make it, I'll take it.
Thanks
