That sunburst frame looks drop dead gorgeuos. What brand is it?

As Reinier89 showed, a brake should fit just fine. The brake that was used for the mockup does have a slightly offset pivot arm, unlike the Record brake, so I am not sure yet if the Record brakes will fit.

The angle of the seat stay bridge is not very different from the seat tube, so I am guessing (hoping) that I will be able to tighten the bolt with my Park Tool balldriver hex wrench, which can tighten stuff in angles.

What better way to start off 2015 with some updated pics of my future Kajak Custom frame!

The seat and chain stay bridges are in place and so is the additional tube. The fork is also nearing completion. All that remains now are the cable guides and the FD-mount.

I did some research on the subject myself a while back and from what I was able to find out, an American Classic cassette supposedly worked best as a conversion cassette. I bought one and the shifting was nowhere near what I was used to from my regular Campy cassette. If I were you, I would get some proper Campy hubs to go with the groupset. I have a pair of wheels with silver Record hubset lying around if you are interested. They feature Mavic Reflex tubular rims though.

Great idea to go with a Tektro cable hanger. I am using the same on my my CX bike and it made all the difference for brake shudder.

Loving the forks on that.

Looking much better with the new tape. The carbon spacer underneith the stem does seem somewhat out of place though on this bike.

I am guessing that camo paint involved a lot of masking.

I donated the Diamant frame to a friend of mine who recently trashed his vintage Gazelle CX frameset in a bad landing. He was convinced he could solve the issue with the frame and so he has! He ended up using tin can strips to shim both the top and bottom headset cups, and the seatpost. He bent the fork blades straight(ish) by hand. He had to file down part of the bottom bracket shell threads to get a bottom bracket in place. Some issues (stuck rear adjuster) still need resolving, but the frame is on the road yet again. I will post some pictures of his bike in the next couple of days.

End result looks superb!

If tapping the bolt doesn't help, you may want to consider using Finish Line Chill Zone or something similar. It will lower the temperature of the metal bolt and as such make it shrink. I use it a lot as a last resort for stuck parts and it works like a charm.

Here are some shots of the groupset that came off the Colnago. Not sure yet if the Cinelli RAM bars will look nice on the frame. Otherwise I am very happy with the groupset.

@7VEN: I don't have the Pearson anymore.

Those bolts have a tendecy to get stuck on older Colnago seat stays (B-Stays right?). Threading in a bolt and tapping it gently should eventually loosing it up.

Parts for the fork and some other bits and pieces like the brake bridge have come in. The fork blades in particular look very nice.

That fork sure is nice.

XLC makes a really nice and very cheap canti brake, called the BR-C01. The design is almost identical to that of vintage Shimano XT cantilever brakes. http://www.xlc-parts.com/produkte_detail_en,1220,1441,detail.html

The Tektro RX-5 mini V brake is also cheap and probably a lot easier to set up than your typical cantilever brake. The down side is it would look nearly as nice.

Somehow the combination of tan side walls and silver rims doesn't seem to do the bike much good IMHO.

I suppose all white tires would look stellar on these wheels, but I am not sure if you actually still buy these. Below is a picture of some silver wheels I sold a while back with yellow tires, which looked spectacular.

Kamil sent me some pictures of the seat post plug he built for the frame. I must say I am very impressed by it. It uses Thomson seat rail clamps, which should make it really easy to set up.

With the seat post ready, the frame is one (important) step closer to completion.

The GT looks really nice with a steel front fork. Reminds me of the Pelizzoli Leggenda.

Glad you went with the Mavic Open Pro's. They should make for a solid and smooth rolling set of wheels. Really looking forward to seeing the frame with paint on it!

The Colnago does not use you typical Columbus Ego tubing. Below is a picture of what Ego tubing looks like and it is actually a really stiff tubeset. The tubing on the Colnago is probably custom stuff.

Great project you have going on. Aside from the wheels that is. Rigida rims really don't seem to do the frame justice. Why go for something slightly more expensive. For example, Shimano 105 hubs laced to Mavic CXP rims can be had fairly cheap and definitely look the part.
