The frame came back from paint last week. It didn't turn out exactly the way I thought it would, but I am really happy with the end result nonetheless.
I built the frame up on Friday, for the most part anyway. The build was pretty straight forward, aside from the rear brake that is. For some reason I can't get it to center properly. Also, it keeps working its way loose from the brake nut.
Today I took the bike out for its maiden voyage. Given its rather unusual frame design, I was a tad nervous how the bike would hold up. Surprisingly though the bike rides like a dream. Despide the oversized seat tube, it kills road buzz unlike any bike I have ridden before. Shifting is nice and snappy and there is no noticaeble flex in the head tube or the bottom bracket area.
Here are the first pictures of the bike. More to come as soon as I finish it up.

Currently I am trying to decide what color headset to go for. The front of the frame is going the light orange or yellow. A silver headset will look best with that color I think, although I am not sure if it will match all very well with the parts on the bike. Black will match better with the parts, but not sure if it will match with the frame.
Does anyone here know how the frame below from the paint porn thread looked built up?
I am thinking of going with a Tange instead of a Chris King for a change. The finish on a threaded one I ordered a while back was really nice, so I am expecting the same thing to be true for their threadless units.

I've asked the painter to do a fade between either purple-pink-orange or purple-drank orange-light orange. I left it up to him to decide. There will be no logo's. I've asked him to do the fade in a similar way to a Niner frame he painted. You can find it here.

I finally decided on the color scheme and the frame will go off to the painter today. I also picked up some other wheels for the bike in the meantime. They are Bontrager carbon XXX-lite. Not the newest, but from what I've read they should be pretty durable non the less. I also switched the handlebars for a ZIPP set.

Here is something I have been working on for some time now. I had the frame custom built by Kajak Custom in Poland and I took delivery a couple of days ago. More on this project here: http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/256531/

Kamil just sent me some pictures of the final touches to the frameset: the cable guides, FD-mount and last but not least the fork.
I couldn't be more happy about the way the fork turned out. I am not really thrilled about the external cable guides, but Kamil insisted on doing it external so as not to compromise the strength of the main tube.
Delivery is scheduled for Sunday...

I actually used two of those on the rear brake to get the rear brake far enough from the seat tube. I guess I just need to tighten the screw a bit more, which given its position it pretty tricky.
