Silk wears very hot.

Giovanni Pinarello sold this jersey to me himself, mate. It's NOS from the back room of their shop from probably the late 60s. What more do you want? The equivalent "retro" (inspired) jersey in the front of their shop costs €160 and it isn't even 100% wool. Perhaps if you'd met the man and had a chat with him before his quite saddening dementia had struck recently you might realise this is a bit of history.

For sale we have an excellent vintage Pinarello cycling jersey in a size EURO 2 / S. I found this jersey in Treviso a while ago at the headquarters of Pinarello after talking to the man himself Giovanni about one of the older jerseys on the wall, it is old stock and has never been worn! I am unsure as to the exact year it was produced but it looks like late sixties or early seventies to me, it has such a classic simple design that it looks terrific and will never be dated.

The jersey itself was made by De Marchi - you can tell by the label alone that this jersey is a vintage item, made in Conegliano (NE Italy, not very far from Treviso) in 100% Virgin Wool. De Marchi have been making jerseys since 1946 and specialise in woollen jerseys today, so this vintage item is superb quality. Writing on the jersey is machine stitched on - not printed - which is very rare these days.

Fabric is 100% Virgin Wool and is very soft and the jersey was made in Italy. There are three rear pockets which are closed by buttons.

Measurements
Chest: 45cm / 17.71 inches (but does stretch of course)
Length on front from bottom of collar: 61cm / 24 inches

Price is £99 posted.

Diesel should stick to faux shock ads and clothing.

The HQ of Pinarello and Diesel are about 30km from each other, I imagine the owners must be friends.
