"Has the UCI always been a thorn in the side of cycling?"
The UCI are concerned with the safety aspect of bicycle developments. When you have 200 chaps tightly packed doing 30 mph or so on some narrow European road or hurtling at 60 mph plus down the back end of a mountain the designs and materials need to be tried and trusted.

I bought a pair of Prendas
Air TunnelWinter Gloves a few months back, now they are seeing active service. So far i've not had problem with the cold and I tend to ride home about 3.00am at night. I do realise that the colder weather is due to come however...
But then I do have my 1980's cycling oven mitts for the sub-sub zero stuff.

Hello,
I've been hunting for some decent Campy dual pivot front and rear brakes and came upon these no-name variants. They are available from the usual online retailers for about £45.00 and seem ok enough.
The question in my mind though is how come they don't have a level range name like Campagnolo products usually do? all they are billed as is 'Campagnolo skeleton brakes' not Record, Chorus, Athena ect... do you reckon they are some kind of OEM spec items made in Romania?
They are said to weigh in at 321g against Record's 297g
Regards,
