It's hard to argue against Labour being New Labour MKII, but with less charisma. Therefore, if it's accepted that Blair was too far to the right to get into Thatcher's first cabinet, then Labour is centre right. Votes come from the centre, which is the broadest representation of public political will. The UK was last prosperous under Blair, which is what most of the electorate want.
I deplore the drift of politics to the right, but the election of Starmer and the electoral annihilation of the Tories and Reform is at least a step in the right (or left) direction.

Considering the likely ages of Tice's kids, it would probably be appropriate to explain to them that their father leads (or lead) a bigoted, racist corporation which masquerades as a political party. His party would cancel the religious celebrations of any unfortunate refugees by refusing their entry to this septic isle.

I wouldn't be overly confident about that. Apparently he looks back to himself in training. It's a 3 week tour with a lot of climbing in the final week and Pogacar has a Grand Tour in his legs, albeit he appeared to be in cruise control. Vingegaard can quietly ride himself into form.
This presumes a two horse race, nobody told Evenepoel that, I believe he will get stronger than he was in Switzerland. Roglic is a Grand Tour multiple winner and not just a dominant rider in one week tours, he shouldn't be written off. This doesn't even begin to consider the multiple wild cards.
It probably will be a two horse race, a fully recovered Vingegaard will be fresher but with questionable form.

A bit harsh, @spindrift isn't that bad.
