Time's ATAC (Auto Tension Adjust Concept) line of pedals follows the design principles of their road line. Simple design, easy engagement, plenty of float. The ATAC pedals were always seen as an alternative to Shimano mainly because you didn't need to fuss with figuring cant on the cleats, because the pedals were much harder to jam with mud, and because the spring tension never needs to be adjusted. The one adjustment the user can make is whether the release angle is 13 or 17 degrees. And this is done by running the cleats one way or in reverse.

The XC 2 have auto adjustment. But Indra you do notice a difference once used it becomes smoother but still feel stiff and sturdy. At least more than enough to ride brakeless. That's how snug they feel. Today they feel much more smooth clipping in and out than before.

Also they Auto Adjust so not something you need to tinker with. Can be a pro or con.

Just make sure that both pedals are worn in evenly because getting in is sweet its getting out that needs some breaking in. But once that sorts itself out they are smooth and sweet as ever. I love mine now and don't think I want to sway away from Time Atac's mechanism yet at least.

Bishopsgate, this morning, heading south. Track standing at the lights, clipped in and eager to get around the Bobbin riding, RLJing, headphone wearing guy who's plagued my commute by repeatedly cutting in front of me at lights and then sitting in a position that meant not being able to pass him safely. Lights go green, I accelerate hard and upon the second rotation my right foot comes free. Thought I was going to bail. Thank fuck for my brake. If anyone on here observed it, I'm sure it looked pretty funny.
Is there a better cleat system than Shimano anyone would recommend? I'd be happier if there wasn't a repeat performance of this incident.

Spotted Black Dolan Pre Cursa Rider this morning on Berwick Street with Flat narrow bars. I DAWS'd you but you were zoned out. I was rolling on my Metal grey Jamis with Red pursuits. DAWSing like mad.
Also spotted two other forum members as I was leaving Regent's Park this morning. Not sure who but by the time I assessed they were riding Fixed it was too late to DAWS so I just Hailed you. (NB I use to hail most people riding single speed thinking it was fixed but quickly noticed them free-wheel coasting with a hater look in their eye when I shouted DAS. So I sometimes take a while now before I hail.)

Ok I've got 2 iPod classics at home which I need to replace the battery on. The oldest (a 30gb model) is hardly holding a charge for 5 hours the 80gb newer one is holding a charge for about a day.
Also Mrs. Spenceey's iPod nano isn't even turning on, is there some kind of fault find I can do on it before I attempt to replace the battery on that too?
Last question, how do you identify the generation of the iPod classic? Because I guess the batteries aren't all compatible together.
Figured I may as well do them all at the same time.
Not worth the repair cost/hassle for older models.

Just don't move em around a lot. The sad thing is if your ordered 3TB that's a huge amount of data to lose if it fails. Make sure you backup your important info from that Seagate regularly onto something else.

Time for a new external hdd. I know I should get the G-drives, but wallet doesn't allow it. On the other end of the scale there's this:
Cheapest 3TB I can find. The idea is to get one this month, and another next month, to have data redundancy between the two. Then a proper time machine for daily backups as well.
Or any other ideas that doesn't break the bank?
SEAGATE are rubbish. Just lost 2x1TB sea gates. for the 3rd time.

How long does super duper take?
depends how large your drive is?
You can achieve the same with Disk Utility or Carbon Copy Cloner. Obviously CCC can update modified changes unlike Disk Utility.

I kept replacing my Time Capsule because it keep failing.
In the end, I just use Super Duper + external hard drive instead.

I've actually had less "oh shit" moments and ride much less aggressively since I removed my brakes. It's not a question of whether the rider has brakes or not, it's about how they conduct themselves on a bike on public roads with other road users.
Someone can be just as dangerous to other traffic with the help of brakes and gears, with or without a helmet, wearing high viz/full lycra MAMIL.
If you don't feel comfortable riding braklzz then it doesn't mean other riders are the same as you.
