Cheers Indra, is nice but damn hilly! Hm, I thought as much. Maybe not such a good idea considering the roads around here are pretty terrible. In that case I'll probably end up getting this - http://www.wiggle.com.au/selle-italia-slr-lady-flow/ - and not stripping it. Just a shame they have to fucking put pink on everything!

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I need help. I've ridden a stripped SLR and really like it but can't manage any decent miles on it. It was fine for riding around London but I've moved to an area where my commute is a 40 mile round trip. I'm currently using a Fizik Arione, which is no more comfortable. I still get the same pains after 30 or so miles. I'm certain I need a saddle with a cut out, so with that being said, can either of these saddles be stripped?

Wiggle sell the Cane Creak model (the same shape as the old Condor/TektroRL200s).
Planet X are cheap for the Sram and TRP models when they're in stock.Loads of places have the shimano levers – these are all the same shape, more suited for short reach on traditional bend bars.
Thanks.
Indra - the Tektro RL340s look like they have too much reach for me. I think they would look strange/too big on 36 width Piegas..

I've been wondering about this lately and whether I would benefit from a layback post. My Rourke has very steep angles and judging from photos I seem to sit quite far forward over the bottom bracket. Doesn't look quite right.
Suggestions for a cheap, black layback post I could try?
