Wouldn't you still want to waterproof a ply floor if your that worried unless you're using marine ply? If which case maybe use OSB, then apply a liquid membrane (like they use on flat roofs-nasty stuff but effective) then the cork or whatever over that. The guys that did our bathroom did this and then tiled over it (although that is a wet room in particular)

Probably yes. So most of the season apart from now really. Still, should keep the price a bit lower...may be I just won't bother in between the TdF and the Vuelta. I assume you can sign up at anytime not just by calender month, so I can unsubscribe after the Tour and restart just before the Vuelta. Work sounds like it will be busy then anyway and maybe I could do some actual riding of bikes, rather than watching others ride them

Building up this lovely frame courtesy of @Foreigner65 into a nice road fixed. Not going period correct or anything on this one, it will get some nice spare parts I've had for a whil and probably a set of PDWs. Unsure on which stem to use, -the old steel Titan one here that is good and stiff with the deep Cinelli drops or get a Cinelli 1a or something ( I find these a bit flexy over a certain length) and shallower bars. Can't ride it until my wrist is fully healed in a few weeks anyway, so plenty of time to overthink it.

Waltham forest waiting list is awful. Seem to remember when we moved 1 year and a half ago I could only put my name down for one site and had to specify which. So presumably if a spot on another site comes up I won't get offered it even if I might want to take it as I am only on the list of one site ? That said I have seen sites near me with hand written notes on the gates saying they have a spare plot, and to call a certain number-
seems lots are run by allotment groups themselves in partnership with the council and are filled ad hoc by the site admins themselves. That said I have tried to call one of these and the number was wrong so hit and miss. Very unsatisfactory system all in all sadly.
