Bristol our to Cheddar Gorge and back yesterday. Lovely on the way out, got caught in a full on snow storm on the Mendips on the way home, gloves soaked, absolutely freezing. Managed to limp back to a train station 17 miles outside of town and bailed after sitting in a cafe to regain motor control. Unexpected. Coldest I’ve ever been on a bike - cue a splurge on Wiggle.

Hang on - so an Inset 7 will allow you to fit tapered forks to a straight steerer? Say on a CdF?

Have tried before but can never find them in stock.
Looks a bit heavy, but 300g isn’t the end of the world really, especially on a CdF. Wanted it more for comfort.
You don’t think they’ll go tapered head tube for 2019 finally?

Shimano chainset might also help sort the awful chain line the spiderring gave the bike.

Anyone using the Rotor 24mm adapter on a CAAD with Shimano cranks? Apparently it ‘sheathes’ the axle, eliminating any rub.

Cheers. Need the BB30 tool as when the axle snapped the drive side pulled the BB cup out slightly, so it needs pressing back in. Wouldn’t be surprised if I needed new bearings to be honest.

Crank puller - £12.90 (is this the right one?)
Brake cable outer - Dura Ace - £3/m
Chainset axle - 39.99 new or second hand from @LeMesjeu (this one)Do I need a tool to remove the crank arms from the snapped axle? Am I missing anything?
