@nankatsu - pleasure to do business with
-
Backpack contained only my camera, lens, monopod. Wasn’t too heavy, didn’t give me any back trouble.
The rest was food (cooked a lot), tents (one each), tools, more warm gear for the nights which were freezing.
Most of it pretty basic stuff which took up more space. Synthetic sleeping bags, vango banshee tent etc.
Didn’t notice the weight after a few days to be honest. Also can’t really think of anything we could have left behind.

Thanks. Really different to riding in the UK. Big hard shoulders on all roads, so you essentially have your own lane and don’t share with cars. But it does mean they come speeding past which does start to tire after a while. Was mostly on Adventure Cycling Association routes with relatively quiet roads. In short : better than expected.

Cannondale CAAD 10
For sale is my Cannondale CAAD 10 Black Inc, 58cm frame.
Build thread and pics are here:
I purchased the frame on here about a year ago for £260 and it was built up by P&L in New Cross Gate. It’s still in great condition.
However, the whole package is now a bit of a restoration project, and some parts have been scavenged from it (namely brakes).
Pics below of it built up, before an incident with a compressionless cable killed the chainset axle. I know LeMesjeu on here has the correct axle available should you wish to fix the SI chainset. You could also get a Rotor BB30 > 24 adapter and use a standard Shimano chainset. That has the advantage of a sleeve which should protect the chainset axle from meeting the same fate again.
Had lots of kind info on how to resurrect it, but I haven’t got the time to bring this back to life, so am offering it up for sale.
Essentially you're buying a CAAD 10 Disc frameset, a near-new set of 28h disc wheels, and a 105 5800 part group! For £400! Bargain!
Included are:
Destickered Wiggle Prime Race Disc Wheelset, 700c, Shimano centrelock discs, 11-32 105 cassette, Gravelking 28’s.
Shimano 105 5800 shifters, rear derailleur, braze on front derailleur.
Specialized Hover bars, 42cm.
Cannondale 50/34 spiderring
Cannondale SI crank arms (attached to the broken axle).
Generic seatpost + saddle.
£400 collected (heres the catch) near Woodbridge (Ipswich), Suffolk. About an hours drive from London on a weekend.
