hi,
getting rid of the last few its from a failed project so i can finish my tandem
first up, a pair of unused track wheels. these are perfectly true and consist of
- Tange track hubs - rear is for a splined cog which is included
- DT swiss spokes
- Kinlin ADHN rims
£sold
second, the njs seat post/saddle combo
-Nitto sp72 30mm width seat post in 27.2mm diameter, few insertion marks but v. good condition- Kashimax 5 gold, unpadded saddle, quite scuffed, could do with recovering. 30mm to fit above
£40 for saddle and post
Finally, Nitto bar/stem combo (i'll be keeping the bell), All in very good condition, consisting of
- Nitto alu track drops
- Nitto dynamic 10 stem
- Nitto bar ends
- gradient fade bar tape
bought these on the forum a while back and never really used them , want back what i paid
£45I'm located on holloway road, will meet at reasonable distance, or post at cost
thanks - Tange track hubs - rear is for a splined cog which is included

yeah, i was looking at 9 speed, possibly even 10 or is that a bad idea? i was thinking of getting some of the dura ace down tube shifters because they're relatively cheap and reliable but have slight reservations about reaching down to shift on the front... i know a few people seem to use trigger shifters but i have no experience with them

ok, finally got a chance to do some measurements and a little bit of thinking.
rear spacing is standard 130 and it'll never be particularly laden so no need for crazy strong wheels are my thoughts, I'm going to go for 3 cross 36h rigid sputniks to some mid-level shimano hubs i think.
my budget isn't that high really atm, so although i'd love to go for the shimano crankset i think strong light is the way forward.
seeing as it came with silver bars and seat posts i think the bumblebee idea will have to be abandoned really, I'm kinda feeling royal blue saddles and tape to match the cliff shrubb logos but it might look crap..
the bars attach via an underslung lug, i've never seen anything quite like it!
if anyone has any gearing recommendations i'd love to hear, at the moment I'm considering either ultegra or 105 semi-group but its all still very much undecided

More bits from a failed project,
very shiny campag strada chain set, i was using it as a single but is actually double. 170mm, all threads and tapers are perfect. fairly rare to find one in such nice condition. these have a lser etched logo and a bit of extra material was added which is an improvement on the fluted versions.
i am looking for £80factory five lattice chainring in ano grey, 48 tooth. unused. Cheapest i can find them is hubjub for £50,
i'd like £40will sell both for £110

cheers guys! yeah, i'd rather not splurge too much so i think the strong light is a good option. its recommended to use the strong light bb too, have any of you had any experience with those?
good point on the brakes @Clockwise , i need to do a bit of a shop around but I'm thinking higher end campag parts. Wheels are 700c
for wheels I'm thinking rigid sputnik rims but I'm yet to decide on the hubs, any recommendations?
the colour is a bit more yellow/gold than the photo shows so i think i'll be trying to make it a bumblebee with black parts where i can
once its ready to go people will be welcome to come along on a jaunt!

so, one interesting ebay session later and i now am the owner of this beauty

i've only ridden a tandem once and never have built one so this is going to be a bit of a learning curve i think...
does anybody have any pointers or ways they'd like to see this progress?
i'm still deciding whether to do crossover drive and be reliant on tandem specific cranksets or single sided drive and just use 2 solo sets
anyway, very excited. if you have anything to suggest please do!

hi,
so money is getting really desperate and this bike is getting even less use since i sold the wheels!i bought it off of here for £450 a few months back, built it and barely rode it before student finance screwed me around and left me fully overdrawn...
heres a set of really nice photos http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/mino-denti-blue-and-purple-fadez-18104some really nice features - crimped tubing, curved ST, webbed area at BB, ladybird panto'ed forks
it comes with a new tange njs headset, and a token BB which i installed after buying on top of the original cost so the price is non negotiable
frame sizing is:
ST - 56cm ctt
TT - 55cm ctcprice collected from holloway road is £410
message me for any details,
cheers -
