However, you think Vitus is a good brand?
Have nothing bad to say about it. You are largely paying for the Shimano Steps motor. It has a prefectly acceptable Shimano groupset with hydraulic brakes. The Vitus part is just the frameset and it is a bit of a tank.
It works for us, has good range and can take the battery off for charging inside. Been ridden 60-90 miles a week for 9 months now.
Possible downsides:
Likely want to change saddle and maybe the tyres.
Limited clearance, tyres can't go much bigger.
Mudguards needed an adapter at the back, otherwse OK to fit.
The handlebar and stem are one peice, if you need to change stem length, you'll need new bars too.Wiggle also has this up, not all sizes.. no idea on spec.

Partner has the lower spec model, fit some mudguads (bit fiddly) and good to go... also paid much more than this.

Anyone have anything bad to say about the Salsa EXP Anything Cradle?
Apart from being heavier than less rigid options it looks like lower faff, secure and out the way of mtb cables.

bicycle vs motorbike, mostly answered here... but maybe not completely comparable with a company like spesh.
