Wind up the nipples on the drive side spokes up to the end of the thread but leave one thread showing on the non-drive. Work with the drive side during the initial stages of the truing / tensioning process and the rim will start off being dished too far to the right. This is what I do. I then find that the rim "drifts" to the left (non-drive side) as I bring up the tension. Once I've got the tension near the recommended amount on the drive side I'm still usually a few mm too far to the right. I then tension only the left side to dish and true simultaneously and I end up dead centre.
It's the same for disc front wheels and single sided track wheels.
thanks will give it a try

I bought this frameset from retrobike,

I had it powder coated in a dark grey metallic and then it looked like this:

apologies for the shit phone pic, I built it up with a spare groupset I had knocking about.

I thought it looked pretty good, since then I have been offered a SRAM Force groupset. My original plan being to strip the old stuff from this frame and fit the force kit to here. My second plan was to fit the Force kit to my Equilibrium and move the 105 kit over to the Graham.
Anybody have an opinion?

Cougar audax frame with mudguard eyelets and rear rack mounts. It is built from Reynolds 531 designer select tubing.
ST = 58 CTC or 61 CTC
TT = 58 CTC
HT = 16

Had a fairly recent powder coat but they haven't done a brilliant job. There seems to be a piece of something stuck in it on the top tube (right). Since powder coating I have managed to add a scratch (middle) and another mark to the top tube (left).
Comes with a pretty much new stronglight a9 headset n/b non original seat post bolt. After the powdeer coating i had the bb threads chased so everything is good to go.
I can include the functional but tatty seatpost and a new set of cougar decals with the frame. I have a box ready to ship this, else if someone wants to save a bit of cash i'm in London for the great British beer festival and can bring it down then.
£100 collected from Nottingham or plus postage and fees.
