My first carbon bike and I'm not sure about how good carbon is to being abused.
Very good, in my experience. I've killed steel and Ali frames before. Never carbon. Well, not yet.
As for Ti, welding that stuff is very difficult and never sure that it is done properly.
It's really not. You have to back purge it, but that's about having the correct fixtures. Welding Aluminium is far, far harder.
Is the pipework still aviation fuel line?
Never was, as far as I know. Most decent Ti frames use butted tubing, and I can't imagine that aviation fuel lines ever used butted tubing.

I have a day off work with my bike in Switzerland coming up. I’m based in Basel but willing to travel. Where should I head to? Last year I went to Andermatt and did 3 mountains there.
The Vosges mountains or the Black Forest have loads of good riding. Planche des Belles Filles is a good climb. For something a little more left-field, head over to Davos, embrace your inner oligarch, and do a loop through Zernez with the Fluellapass and the Albulapass.

Nope, didn't bother with the OLED screen on the X1. My current Carbon X1 (9th gen) has a 1920x1200 IPS screen. The M14 has a 1920x1080 screen, so a little shallower. The difference is only mildly annoying, as I tend to keep the same windows in the two screens - email and word processor (WordPerfect, cos I be Old Skool) on the laptop, web browser and pdf reader on the M14. Switching between the two requires the minimize/maximize shuffle, but it's no great hardship.

I've joined the solar panel club today. I think it's fair to say that they've made the most of the available roof space.
