without trying to be libellous I would hazard a guess that this guy is selling stolen bikes judging from the descriptions in the listings and the past sold items
Currently selling a CAAD5 CAAD4 and a Giant TCX
I could be wrong of course, but just a thought
About 16 bikes and various front wheels in his sales feedback , WAC

an irony / stupidity / slowclap sandwich.
/actually it's more like a lasagne.
Happened to the pupils of a school near here , they didn't ban it since they were aware of the shitstorm it would cause so they "strongly discouraged" it to the parents and made a pretty big fuss about how dangerous it was and then went on to only prove space for a dozen or so bikes on site including staff cycle parking , utter fallacy in both cases

Hi
Just a quick question as I'm unsure if my reaction is either extremely rude and ungrateful or extremely fair.Me and 4 friends are doing a charity cycle run next year over 2 weeks and we need new bikes so we approached a few manufacturers to see if they would be interested in discounting bikes for us to use in return for (admittedly very local only probably) advertising.
We got an offer from one that was just under 30% off which is very nice of them.
But I then found out through speaking to my local bike shop that in effect the offer they gave us is what they sell to shops for, so if we wanted he would get them and offer them to us at cost and we could post his shop as supplier of the bikes(its probably what we will do).But we have a meeting with the manufacturer and I kind of want to ask for a bigger discount as they aren't actually discounting THEIR usual selling price..
What does anyone think?
Take it man that's potentially £333 over every 1k you spend so that's a pretty good discount ?

^^ Euw! This fluid lobbing at gigs seems to occur more and more. My memories of one Blur gig are completely, well, blurred by the recollection of being splattered, and the anticipation it for the duration of the evening.
Though I've always (wishfully?) assumed it to be beer not piss...
I used to go to at least 3 or 4 gigs a week and loads of festivals. Now, more often than not, I find the experience more annoying than enjoyable.
At reading this year all the security explained how if it went away from the stage it was water they've handed out and if it went towards the stage it was piss , first and now last reading festival done and dusted

I'm with giffgaff as well, but have been pretty dissapointed by thier outages. They don't coincide with o2's outages either. Sometimes it's just voice calls, sometimes data services, sometimes both. Probably only once every 2 months, but usually at crucial times like Friday afternoon/evenings.
Thier payback scheme is alright though: i've earnt at least a quid just moaning on their messageboard about outages.
You can get a fiver for answering q's on the forum so over the last years contract (£120) I've probably earned half it back which isn't too bad

Yeah I saw the forks , he's got a set of tusk air forks going for £500 at the moment which is why I'm reluctant to even ask for a quote from him
