Similar happened to me last Friday.
Bike fully prepped for riding to the New Forest, the night before. Take it off the rack in the morning and the front is flat.
Loose valve core - annoying, but glad I didn't have to change the tube. And then the zip bust on my Carnac tool bottle so I had to distribute the contents into pockets/frame bag/bar bag full of clothes.
I bonked at about 3pm that afternoon. Had better days on the bike.

@Nef I might steal these routes!
Did you go up and through Dalby Forest, if I am reading the map correctly? The little switchbacks at the old entrance (nr Broxa) are definitely easier to descend rather than ascend!

This is a “is this for real!?” moment for me. Couple buys a house next an operational Network Rail (ScotRail) station and think they own the whole lot?
Let’s hope they own a tamper; a track trolley; a few ironmen etc and also hope they have knowledge and certification to maintain everything if they plan to prevent NR access but also, at the same time, expect trains to stop there.
Edit: oh and a contract with Cemex and Tata
Idiots.
