Wisdom teeth. I got all four done at the same time. Apollo is right - next day is shit, after that it gets better. In the night, after it's been done, you'll be bleeding a little, no big deal, but I did wake up with my pillow stuck to my face with dried blood. Nice.
Don't sleep on your most expensive pillow or bedding.

Disagree with the direct comparison between SS and FG, brakes or no brakes, that's all.
*Would never nerg anyone for doing so.
I'm only making a comparison in terms of braking decision. I understand there is a whole world of difference elsewhere.
But I'm still waiting for more details on the original offence though. I want my shit rider story.

While we are having a Danny Dyer moment, you should check this out: http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/filmblog/2009/sep/23/nick-love-outlaw-dvd-commentary - there's background and a link to a YouTube audio - it's hilarious.
He is such a nob.

Sinlglepeed with one brake is the same as brakless fixie surely?
Nerged.
I'm not sure that's fair. SS with one brake is one method of stopping. Fixie with no brake is one method of stopping. Each with their relative advantage, braking on fixie is probably less prone to failure, so safer, braking on SS would be better braking, since it is the front wheel.
Don't get me wrong, I agree they are nobs for riding around SS/no rear brake. If they wanna get on a bandwagon, they should get on the bandwagon, fix their ride.
....each rode like a great big shitbag.
I like the sound of that, what does it mean? Tell me what were they doing? I love "people riding shitly" stories.

Sure, that's what the mini means, but I was looking at them, and just couldn't call it one way or the other. And people go on about the clearance with mini Vs, which looks OK there.. Anyhow, what does it matter, something has to knock the crud off the tyres - I mean I could see road calipers getting knackered, but so what if the cable going across your Vs gets a bit messy?

RVL, I thought you might show up with the gen on that. It's your era all over isn't it?
Edit: Ha ha, seems like you were at the same page I was: http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/designs/baines-hs.html

Even if you didn't use google, the clues were pretty obvious. "the right time, twice day" Couldn't be much but twilight. The others all pointing to acton were simple, what more do you want from a clue?
"Right time, twice a day" does not say twilight to me, it stays, as per the well known saying "a stopped clock".
EDIT: I posted that thinking I was replying to the last post, but I'm not it is several pages back... sorry.
Anyway, what I was going to say is what is protocol, when someone posts the found old, and there is a delay while they get the new. I mean, if someone else got in there and did the old and a new. I am guessing it would be theirs, no? They would be the first to complete the old/new post, so they win, yes?
I have to ask because I have a slightly OCD-type need to know.

I were reading about these a while back, it was some fella up north what used to make em like this. Can't remember what his justification was for it... like more strength or speed or flexitivity or something, can't remember. I think it name checks the original in the eBay ad, calling this a "replica". Y'know.

I would like to mount a swan neck cable hanger on my Pompino, to minimise cable drop, but the forks are not drilled. Should I just drill them? Would the reduction in strength lead to any cracking from the holes?
After I have drilled it, what's the best way to protect from rust, seeing as how I will have revealed fresh steel? Undercoat and paint, of course, but any recommendations?
It's one of these forks (in blue): http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FOOOPV2/on_one_pompino_cro_mo_fork_2011

Hello,
Has anyone out there got a baby blue Pompino fork with a reasonably long steerer left, or even totally uncut? The one I have got has 23cm left on the steerer, I would like a little more than that.
They're only £20 brand new at On One, so I'll only be able to give you a tenner or so. But I will pick it up from you anywhere in London.
Anything out there?

Spent the last ten minutes going through pages since I last checked this thread, hoping the phlegmatic Russian had not been posted, looking forward to my first .gif post.
Shoulda just checked the last page.
