I like the chrome Coppi. Sure the tyres and cables are naff, but other than that it's lush: chrome and red is a showstopper.

Personally, I replace caged bearings with loose: you can fit a couple more.

I also use SimplyBearings: 1st class service!

Lovely bike but beyond my wallet, so just out of curiosity: Shimano hubs and Campag Ergos?

I thought Shimano and Campag 8v had different spacing.

Large amounts of lush: the Coppi, particularly, lights my fire.

However................ when it comes to logos, be it bar tape or wheels, less is more; and coloured tyres and cables belong on BMX.

£75 goes a fair way towards something like an 8v Vento: worth a punt or should I DIY something out of estate agents' signs?

Finally got a pair of cranks for a decent price to finish the 3rd gen Chorus group: my first Ergoshifter build and 10.21kg. Hardly svelte, but each build is lighter than the last, so it's progress.

Needs some proper ergo bend bars and I'm not sure about the anodising on the stem; also fancy a white perforated leather Regal and Elite Ciussi cages.

Now the 2nd gen Chorus is off here, I can build up the TT frame...

PS The Karman Ghia is one of only two cars, that looks as good as a hardtop as it does as a softop; the other being an E-Type Jag.
