Hi guys,
this popped up on a forum I'm a regular to and I found it heartbreaking.
Understand this is a bike forum for London, but it's worth a shot!

Hi,
bought this little number today in the hope of making something I can just 'use', not worrying about the condition of the chrome etc. This bike has cost me 2000....pennies so far from bits I've already got. It's mechanically perfect, all bearings etc have been stripped and greased. I need to make adjustments with the stem being lower, saddle correct position, but you get the idea of what it's going to look like.
Rather than bore you all with the spec of the bike, I'd thought I would tell you all the parts that it *doesn't *have.
Enjoy.
.Custom Colnago master olympic
.C.K headset
.Super record crank + BB
.Un named campagnolo brakes
.Rolls saddle
.Cinelli bar + stem
.Mavic Gel 280 rims on super record hubs
The bike also won't be upgraded with extra campagnolo parts such as seat-post.
Please check back soon to see what progress I haven't made.
pictures actually make it look pretty clean and tidy...it's not
I hope you really like what I haven't done with it,
James

Ok Im out, its not worth that to me. Good luck with a nice classic wheel. Also I dont know you, but if you plan to ride this rim note that the Super Champion Record Du Monde rim was designed as a lighter rim for lightweight riders (125 lbs). Do some research if this is an issue for you.
I wasn't aware! Thanks for telling me.
Hmmm, I weigh 12 stone.....this could be a problem.
