thats my route...i see a few fixies in the morning, this morning i saw a guy on a green BLB bike...another guy with a beard who i thought was riding SS as he had two breaks, but then realised he was actually riding fixed...and was doing track stops at all the lights...guess the breaks are there for extra help in emergencies.
I'd usually let this fly, but you actually quoted someone who spelled "brake" correctly. Brakes slow you down, breaks are something surfers surf.

BUT
Be cautious before concluding injuries are only transient or minor.
You don't know yet how your knee will feel for years to come, and how that might affect you. So +1 for full documentation in case it does need to escalate. If you are fairly sure that you have no serious personal or bike injury then full credit for dealing with it informally. Yes bad drivers need "educating" but we all pay insurance premiums - and the companies tend to wade in and make everything more hassle for everyone.
+1 for this. After my ped crash my shoulder has never completely healed and I never asked her to cough up for medical at the time.
She never paid anything eventually, but that's another story...

That could have been me. Rain jacket rather than softshell though. I'm not on here as often as I could/should/would but drop in from time to time for a peek.
Chatted briefly with Rudy Melo on the way in. He's easy to spot!
Shamefully I don't own a single piece of Rapha so it was a complete guess!
Were you riding a very nice and clean looking brown Condor?

So, following this I got the standard rubbish email from Roadsafe in return and didn't hear a thing from TFL. After tweeting them several times I phoned them today - they couldn't find a record of my complaint (though did find the one they've still never replied to from April last year) and I left all the details again. Apparently they'll get back to me by the end of the week... I'm not exactly holding my breath.
I reported a bus to TFL and got the same treatment. Not much point going through all the hassle really!

Sadly I've taken to actually remembering the most common fallacies that drivers commit so I can quote the most relevant highway code number. Repeating it to their face gets the point across (sometimes).
i.e. 163 for the amount of space to pass a cyclist.
