I'm now starting to look at re-building the Blue Minster for summer.
I really enjoyed having it built up as a functional, usable bike with the 8 speed DA on it, so after some hard thinking, I'm going to see if its possible to cold set the rear end from 126 - 130mm.
Even though you could run the 8 speed block on 126 mm, you could only run 6 gears due to the chainstays and it became a bit annoying after a while. On the Silver Minster it was better as you could run 7, oddly enough.
Cold setting an old frame like this may be sacrilege to some, but after some thought I think it will preserve it for longer and enable me to use it regularly and it also carries on the evolution of the frame, as it appears that it was build in the 50's, then modified in the 70's to take a derailleur with the Zeus dropouts.
If it is possible to make a modern setting work on the rear end, I think I'll build it up with 9 speed Campag and sympathetic components, if not, I'll build it up full Eroica I think :)

Another one from the @photoman stable!
This is a beautifully made Italian Road Bike Frame size 53cm ctc (stamped as 54 on BB shell) that has been badged as a Cinelli but it's probably not, another Cinelli like this hasn't been seen.....
It was imported from Italy from the Ciocc shop and later sold on as a Cinelli.
It is fabulously well made, filet brazed and lugged and in almost unmarked condition, with just a few small storage marks. Built but never ridden or taken outside.
Sold with a pair of straight chrome forks as shown.
Campagnolo dropouts, probably entry level Columbus tubing and internal cabling, decent little frame this.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SALE IS FOR THE FRAME AND FORKS ONLY – pictures of the complete bike are for illustration purpose only

I'm selling this on behalf of fellow forum member @photoman purely because he has so many frames, he doesn't know what to do with them :)
This is an unknown steel track frame that has been paint up as a Reg Harris Raleigh by Vaz. It has never been built up since being painted & has some interesting features.
The frame is prob 531 or equivalent, in my opinion, but the forks are from a Raleigh clunker and def not orginal. I reckon it would make a lovely run about or a decent first track frame with new forks.

I am not a pretty picture, on or off the bike :)
No wonder Tim Davies says I look like a 'monkey f@&King a football' at track league.....
We've raised about £600 so far!!
Cheers for everyone that came down yesterday to heckle, help and give me wheel to follow.
Big shout out to @mrs_socks who brought tea, cake AND jammy dodgers!

Hopefully Alan will get in touch soon, I think he's on holiday at the moment though. He is keen to do something with all his dad's photos, medals and theories, when he gets around to it!
@BigBlock that Ace is amazing, great threads and write ups on all of the bikes too, I especially look forward to reading about the the Spearman.

Great isn't it! I've had several bikes like that and I've always passed all that on when they have been sold, in some way it's nice to add to the story.
Even the more modern bikes have great stories. I bought a Dawes Shadow from an older gent who told me it had changed his life when he bought it after a bad run. He was quite emotional, but glad to see it go to a good home, when I passed it on I made sure that story went with the bike.
My Elsegood's story is what makes it so special to me, especially as it was this forum that made the story, I'll never sell the blue Minster, especially as it's the frame I proposed on!
Maybe the kids will be telling a bright eyed young buyer about it one day :)

That will be a genuine Reg, or at least at Raleigh track frame from that era (if its the one with the two bar strike dents on the TT I know the frame you're on about)
The Raleigh forks from this time period (and beyond) all had the same or similar fork crown, these are def not Raleigh track forks imo.
That said offers of £850 gladly accepted!! ;)
