I vaguely remember reading something about how if you play music (in time) with other people you’re basically time travelling because the internal processing time means that if you were truely hearing and reacting, everything would get slower and slower and/or out of sync. Maybe the same with any activity involving high levels of coordination between senses?

As far as I know my sound recorder mate (who does a lot of location jobs) charges full day rate for work days and half rate for travel days either side. I’ll ask him what he does for longer jobs where he’s away for a few weeks…
Edit: he says anything over a month he discounts a day a week (depending on shooting schedule) but this isn’t a ‘big’ job, so price as if you were working full time at home 5-6 full days per week (don’t lose money).

My experience has been 2 days wiped out then feeling ok in mornings and crashing hard in the afternoon… The crash point has got later and later but I’m still exhausted by tea time now.
Very faint line on the LFT today, 12 days in!

My neighbour has an old one, bought 2 years ago I think - one issue with a fuse that was a brief mystery but no major issues so far… He’s not doing many miles though.
He mentioned it shares a platform with an Audi and a VW - might mean parts aren’t quite at the Dammit levels of Porsche tax.

I like the faded bezel but the lume looks shite (and not just because it’s blobby). The blue 58 has a cool palette - if you want warm get the black 58.

Should be… I got quoted an outrageous amount to do the rears on my 5-series because the whole lengths front to back had to be bent/shaped by hand from straight tubing. 👌

Well quite - a physical job that has to cover the entire UK is only 35k.

I think the pick-up thing is driven by tax rules making them more desirable as company vehicles, along with manufacturers making them refined enough for everyday use.
I reckon 50% of contractor trucks at work have never seen a building site and never carried more than a hatchback could manage.

Ours has gone up £5 a month, so little I didn’t even bother trying to compare.

I know the modern brass band (with brass in the name) has been done to death but I’m really enjoying Tom Maguire and the Brassholes at the moment. Really creative guitar playing and solid tunes.

The app just told me I’m free 5 days after the day zero test.
Generally feeling better today but went for a walk round the block for air this evening and got a few hundred metres before giving up and shuffling home. No shortness of breath or sweating but felt like I’d done an hour of hard exercise.
I was hoping to play football Monday eve, which seems unlikely now!

My mate also charges a kit rate on top of day rate, I think only for shooting days but it works out well - his stuff gets paid for over time and the production company can see a saving over hiring for the whole duration.
