Hi! just finished my current project, a Cyfac time trial bike from 1999 rebadged as a Vitus and ridden by the lotto mobistar team in 1999. This frame was actually owned by Jacky Durand (winner of Paris tours, tour de Flandre and several tour de france stages).
I built it with a complete dura ace 7700 group, thomson elite seatpost, 3ttt stem (the one in columbus thron), sachs ergo handlebars and look quartz pedals.
Useless to say, it's a superfast bike considering its age.

I could'nt find pictures of Jacky Durand actually riding this bike but I found one of Jo Planckaert on the 1999 Paris-Nice race
Cheers

You should also consider these

the cable tension for the rear derailleur is way easyer to adjustThe white rolls saddle looks nice.

That's a lovely frame!
IMO you should have a nice DA 7400 groupset with downtube shifters because these are unbreakables. If you want an example, here is my peugeot from the same era and the same 653 tubing with 7400 groupset

Thanks for the comments!
the frame is an aluminium vitus futural 787 (so the year is 1987 and yeah it's french). I used pretty much all the spare parts I had on this one so I have a mosaic groupset but it does a really great job!
In details:
handlebars: mavic comte de coucy with brooks guidoline
stem: mavic 360
crankset: mavic 631
pedals: mavic 640

Thanks for the advice. Alternatively someone told me to use a hammer but I'm not very confident with this...
Or this tool:

My current project is almost finished! I ordered a thomson elite inline seatpost and a pair of look quartz to finish the build. And I still need to figure out a way to remove the current crankset (the thread for the crankset removal tool is fucked) to complete the dura ace 7700 full group...

Et Gaston je suis sans voix devant ton Pinsello. Incroyable. Il lui manque juste des pédales 640 piste ;)
