And here is what's likely to be a FC-CT90 fitted to a very low end 'dale from 1995, notable for the very skinny arms (likely to have been the issue with the breakages).

Ok, so it was the 1995MY FC-CT90 cranks that were affected. Nothing else.
One pic is the bikes coda chainset and the other from the 1995 Shimano brochure. I'd say they are not the same cranks. Easy enough to Google a few images instead of relying on an old recall article with no pics.

Happy to be proved wrong, the model number will be stamped inside the DS arm.

Nope, the bonded coda magic ones had a dodgy batch, not these. Never. 100%.

Cheers, I still can't believe how much this bike makes me smile, I sold a gravel bike that was worth 20x what I paid for this and the old silkroad is so much better, literally a bike with (almost) endless capabilities. I have a Chinese pair of carbon rims for smashing my way round Stanmer Park or up on the SDW and a new set of hollowgram carbon wheels for roadie rides. I can't ever see me selling it!

Ok, one last time. My post simply points to multiple US agencies within the last 18 hours confirming US Intel helped locate and confirm the location of the Moskva to which Ukraine acted upon by sinking it. I have a gut feeling this will really piss Putin off, on top of all his previous butt hurt 'they're picking on us' rants.
My post had nothing to do with nor did I mention any personal criteria regarding this particular escalation as I see it.

@stelfox @Jameo of course it has been public knowledge, on matters of weapon and monetary aid, not sure what that has to do with my post. My point was it appears that only today has it been confirmed that the US had a big hand in the sinking of the pride of the Russian fleet, a vessel so highly regarded that they lied about the cause of its fate. THAT will really get Putin riled on top of his already overflowing dislike of us 'westerners'.

As in, providing aid to Ukraine defend themselves against attack is one thing but providing Intel to assist in attacking the Moskva is on another level and sure to really get Putin (even more) bat shit crazy.

For the 'style' conscious amoung us I do love the Adidas Velosamba shoes, super stiff sole (which is perfect for the tiny platform of the eggbeaters I swear by) but comfy/smart enough to wear to the pub. In fact I purposely ride into town and meet the kids and wife at the park to get a ride in and I can also have a kick about when I get there. Really versatile shoes.

That bike has been for sale for ages, until recently it was up for 750 I think, shame about all those worms under the paint. My 2001 is oil and coil not air, I'd say this one is the same, same fork, can't think why that shock is so collapsed though compared to mine, must have lost the oil??
