As long as places also take cash and can accommodate people that need it, I guess it's not the most shitty thing to pass the cost on to the customer. Though I don't think a consumer or the shop should be taking the hit.

Which I don't think is totally unfair for a small shop to do. But when using cash means saving some pennies, people will need the option.

Sorry I'm in dirty South London. We still have places setting a minimum charge for card transactions or the shop passing the cost onto the customer (I'm not even sure if that's legal?)
