Put my winter tyre/ wheel combo on my bike this morning, 28mm rubino pros. Topped up with Stans sealant, that I haven’t used before.

6 miles in, sealant pissing everywhere, kept calm, kept riding but it took an age to seal, probably 45-60 seconds.

I’ve got a Schwalbe Pro One 28mm like that, won’t stay up and extra rim tape didn’t work. It’s now on the pile waiting to be used tubed or when I can persevere with it, maybe a tighter rim combo.

Looks more like age related cracking rather than wear, but I wouldn’t expect much more than 2000 miles from them.

Make sure you have the right kit to hand. Think you can replace Schwalbe Easyfit with soap and water? Tyre levers fit for tubeless rather than normal levers. At least two wraps of rim tape. Inflation device. Sealant that matches the tyre type.
