From my experience it’s mostly down to being a tourist, especially if you’re visiting during the extremely busy month of August. You’ve got assholes all over the world of course but having lived in Italy for just over 3,5 years now, I’ve only ever had good experiences.
What the hell were you thinking anyway? McDonalds when in Italy? Shame on you..

It's time for some TLC for the 1098. I got myself a dual action polisher with a slightly smaller disc setup than normal which is better suited for the motorbike. All the products are Meguiars with the exception of the iron remover, the cutting pads and the machine itself.
I've removed the majority of the bodywork, the linkpipes and the mufflers. Only thing still left to do is the front panel and the tank, which I'll do without removing them from the bike.
My routine;
- wash with shampoo & dry
- apply iron remover - let dry for approx 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off
- wash with shampoo & dry
- use the clay bar to remove any contamination
- wash with shampoo & dry
- cutting pad + ultimate compound
- light cutting pad + ultimate polish
- polishing pad + ultimate polish
- finesse pad + ultimate wax
In case of the bottom fairing and some smaller black panels (non-painted) I've used Ultimate black.
Iron remover at work;

Clay picking up some grime

Result after washing & claying, as you can see quite a few swirls & scratches. Then again, the bike is from 2008 so fair to expect.

Final result

Two items still on the wishlist;
- new saddle
- rear sets
- wash with shampoo & dry

I've never tried with a 10s setup but I can't see why it should pose a problem. The 12s outer cable / cable stop diameter is slightly smaller than the 11s version but that's the only difference I could tell.
From my experience, it's better to preventively replace 12s cables after xx amount of time as, unlike 11s, you'll not notice any degradation in shifting performance over time. At a certain moment they just snap. That beind said, I'm at 15k with my current 12s cable setup and will only replace them this coming season.

That's a different set.
If the outer cables say "Maximum smoothness" - they're the newer (more expensive) 12s gear cables, both the inners and outers have changed and will provide improved shifting over the 11s version you're referring to in the link.
These are the new 12s cables (gear only):
https://www.condorcycles.com/products/campagnolo-maximum-smoothness-12-speed-gear-cable-kit
The brake cables have remained the same and will state "Ultra low friction".
You can use the Maximum smoothness cable set on both 12s and 11s drivetrains.

Visually I'd prefer the left as well to be honest. But I've requested the stop on the right for a reason;
Since I'm running a third bottle cage holder underneath, I wasn't certain whether or not the inner cable would interfere / get in contact with the bottle cage holder as it would have to cross the downtube diagonally to exit on the right chainstay. It also avoids any weird angles for the cable to follow at the BB guide plate.
I'd like to think I made the correct assumption as it's hardly clearing the bolts as it is already:

You can find some more details here:

Google translate should do the trick.
The signature on the chainstay says "Jan Kole", the man behind the brand Colossi.

Have worn it all week so far and am quite enjoying it again. Lume is terrible, lasts about 5 minutes but hey, in general you get what you pay for.
IIRC this one was only made for the Asian market, it's the EF-546.
Iron Rangers in rough and tough copper indeed, sharp eye. I posted an actual in focus pic in the leather shoes thread recently.

Haha, merely joking. :)
