Sanders will be stiffed by the DNC donor class again this time round, it's why Trump and his backers haven't targeted him. They know this.
I like Bernie a lot but he opposes the true values of the DNC, of people like HRC, Biden, Warren, et al. They'll never let him play at being by the presidential nominee.

Which is a shame as he has the best chance out of all them to beat Trump.

I'm going to watch it later, for sure.

Marin San Quentin 1 or an entry level Sonder Transmitter are also worth looking out for. You can get a Transmitter with a Recon fork and SX Eagle for £949 new.
You can get a San Quentin 1 for £725. Extremely capable, trail smashing entry level hardtail. Fork is basic but the frame is worth upgrading.

There's others here with better knowledge of the sort of MTB you're looking for so I won't recommend anything specific in terms of a bike.
But I will say that generally 29ers have certain inherent advantages over 27.5 that might be useful to you, chiefly the gyroscopic effect that helps maintain momentum when up to speed. They also aid traction and grip better than smaller wheels. Downsides to 29ers are weight (heavier than 27.5) and handling that can be cumbersome if the bike's geo isn't optimised for the bigger wheels.

You could also consider 27.5+, a 27.5 wheel that has a tyre size on the range of 2.6" + 3". In 2.8" to 3" size the total diameter of the wheel is virtually the same as a 29er so has similar properties, but with the added benefit of more rubber for extra pneumatic suspension as well as the opportunity to run lower pressures than the 29er to get more grip when you need it.
There's many hardtails available now that can take both 29" and 27.5"+ wheels so you could have two wheelsets for different types of riding.

And what Hilary says is true about his unpopularity, it's just that he's unpopular with her peer group. It's such a lazy, shit smear by Clinton. Bernie basically dropped the knee for her after the DNC shafted him, endorsed her Presidential campaign and did 40 rallies for her.
And now she does this.

A MTB would be better. Many trails could be done on a CX bike but some trails with more pronounced ruts, roots and holes could be hard work.

Good kit, good bike. Big reach in it in the XL, has a 1246mm wheelbase. Looks sorted. I'd find out if there is any way to transfer warranty over from the original owner, always worthwhile doing if that's possible.
