Which dropper is it?
Mechanical droppers can fail to return coz they need air. Several Race Face Aeffect droppers seemed to have a batch wide problem where they leaked air from new and the dropper failed quickly.
Other droppers of a similar design (They're probably all made by Brand X/Trans-X) also had this problem. -

He's lucky he can even walk. But he's recovering very well considering the extent of the injuries.
He was a top level rider, not a pro, but as good as world class. Rode with Josh Bryceland and co. But on stuff like that when shit happens it happens heavy. -

London Fixed Gear and Single-Speed is a community of fixed gear and single-speed cyclists.
On Sunday I rode a hill near Swansea, MTB trails. Conditions were cold, sunny, tacky and excellent as fuck. Only saw one other rider, had the trails to myself. Have never had so much fun there.
Rode Afan on Monday. Cold, good and icy.
Following photo is the view from the top of the hill in Swansea (this is actually the view from a summer or spring day some time ago. The photos I took Sunday were all blurred. But it looked almost exactly the same).
