Sweet Bottecchia!
Cheers all for the appreciation. The bars are zipp contour sl in tradtional bend. Wish i could tell you more about the ride but i have less than an hour in total on this one. We have 5 degrees and unsteady weather here in may still so havent taken it out much yet. Dont want to get caught in bad weather on this one just yet.
It however rides fantastic from the little i have been on it. But i havent been on anything other than my flatbar disc brake bike for the last 6 months or so which helps with making this feel like a bullet .)

thank you .)
Actually better than my xtr levers paired with dura ace disc 160 rotors tbh. But i have only had one 10 min ride in the dry so perhaps not a really fair comparison. But if its dry i prefer caliper braking to discs on many levels. Its just that in the wet .. but im going to try to keep this one away from downpoors.
Ive had a few pairs of hyperons over the years and really in the dry they are excellent. This one has lightweight pads which i think is very similar to black prince.

Had a change of heart and went with mostly black parts. This took some time to get finished but i finally had a 3 min shake down ride tonight. Feels so very nice. Coming from the winter bikes and 38s with a flatbar certainly helps to make it feel lightening fast .)
the color is tricky to photograph but varies from bright pink to dark maroon depending on light and surroundings.

Yeah its a possibility but i have a few complete chorus ones i can use for now. So im putting one of those on the tommasini and stealing that one for the battaglin to make it complete.
Maybe i can get another one of those helicoils in there later or somtin. Just bit annoying to find out on buildday. But usually there is some hick up with a bike build so its just part of the process i guess. I also sold the extra rs front der i had just a month ago after purchasing the group ha .)
Should be able to testride today i think.

I thought about that possibility but i think i would then need to also drill the adjusting curved plate (that comes with campy der) for the larger bolt that attaches to the outside of the braze on and possibly also adjust the braze on mount itself on a new frame to take the larger bolt. And umm thats not gonna happen. Even if i could get away without touching the frame it just seem like a lot to get done when i wont be able to do it myself. Likely just easier to get another even tho they are hard to source.

Thats a nitto caroline stem. Quite unusual to see but i took a liking to it.
Yes contour sl bars.Ive run into a snag on the build. The rs group i bought came with 32mm clamp adaptor. Took it off and the threads are shot. And instead there is somekind of spring inserted into the body to give the bolt something to grap. Wtf who does that :) Well if it worked i can see myself using it but it does not work for me and even if i could get the spring back in there i wouldent trust it and it would nag me. So i guess i have to get a new rs front derailleur before i can finish. Or borrow from tommasini hmm.. But still some 200 gbp or so. Shall have a chat with seller.
Cheers :)

Today is my birthday (now i think i told everyone everywhere) so its finally getting built, at least partially. Went with silver post and stem instead of the carbon post with extralite stem i was planning for first. Been a while since i had a bike with silver stem or post (unless titanium but that dont really count).

That looks to be in very nice shape. Also a rather unusual color that i can see quite a few would be interested in versus the usual bussy graphics. Think the frameset would go for around 800 gbp or so on the bay if someone was looking to maximize the profits. Provided its in as nice a shape as it looks.
Parts are not super expensive but panto always ads a bit if u meant the parts are panto? frame always has a lot of colnago cutouts everywhere so thats standard.
If it were mine id be looking to sell for 1000 gbp locally or something like that. But the market here is pretty meh about bikes from the past even if nice ones.

I think likely 500+ would be my best guesstimate :)
Edit tho the only reference of a sale i could fint in my 30 sec search was 300: https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Dura-Ace-FC-7800-C-carbon-crankset-172-5-mm-/173208647126
But was 2018 n seems like rare items keep climbing but perhaps 500 is a little high then and senor bear is more on the money then.

Everytime i see a corsa extra i want one again. Yet i always sell them when i have them :) go figure. That telekom is going to be sweeeet!
My own project is going slowly but i have now bought all the parts i need. Or at least i think so.
Was going to go with black extralite stem and deda carbon post but after trying out the caroline stem i bought i have decided to first build it up with silver stem and post which means i had to buy a saddle with silver rails as well. The berks i have in both white and black are carbon railed so no go with a silver post. Bought a slr with ti rails that i can hopefully brush to a reasonable match against the post which will be a dura ace 7410 (without logos hopefully). To bad the slrs are cluttered with logos and what not. Maybe rewrap if i find someone local that does not cost a fortune.Been a while since i did silver post n stem but felt it was right after trying the stem on. At least for now. Hopefully i can pry that stem opening just enough to fit the zipp contour bars that have a slight flat bartop. The stem will only ad 250 grams or so versus the extralite ha .)

idd it is. Not sure it will improve any handling by removing some grams from the stem but it looks good and is very light. Never had a problem with them either other than they are a bit tight to install (but are meant to be). Have them on 4 bikes now.
