I had a naked 953 bike. The surface does corrode abit with time. You will get orange (rust colored i guess) stains on the tubes but its no biggy. Just use a scotchbrite ( i use green) and it will look great in a matter of minutes.
If you however have the tubes polished i would have a clearcoat added cause that finish will be very hard work to maintain.
That frameset is gonna be super btw! Love em tubes and with lugs.. jackpot!
As a sidenote i will ad that brushed titanium bits will look more or less identical to your frames finish.. :) -

Anyone have any experience with easton ea90 sl wheels? Currenly do not own an alu wheel so i had to get some fast as the winter is coming fast here : /
Heard mixed reviews but i got a good deal and bought some anyways. Hopefully sturdy enough for winter abuse.
Have bad experience with both fulcrum and camp on the cheapest end of the productlines but really good experience with campys mid-high level wheels.

ffs now I'm lusting for this frame :-(
I'm confortable on a 53cm top tube, would the 54 be too big for me or I could compensate with a shorter stem? oh god
You cant say by just the effective toptube lenght. Youd have to look at angles aswell. 1 degree diff in seattube angle = approx 1cm toptube difference.
So could be smaller than you current bike even with a longer eff toptube measurement. Need to look at the whole picture to get a good fit.

I got this rather nice but incredibly gaudy decorated fsa kforce stem. The graphics are so shit its really distracting. Is it at all possible to strip stuff like thise or does the clearcoat being polished off or stripped damage the carbon wrap?
You can sand it and re-clearcoat it. Or you can sell and buy something without graphics or atleast graphics you like. Option 1 is kinda fun but it takes abit of time and i doubt its gonna be cheaper.

Used wheels from tri-bikes will be a good bet. Or buy a rim and build. Theres the standard open pro readily available http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/SearchResults.aspx?Search=650c+rim&_$ja=kw:650c+rim%7Ccgn:650c+rim+-+R%7Ccgid:4125929727%7Ctsid:40917%7Ccn:Chain+Reaction-SE-G-Exa-NonSwe-DT-SE%7Ccid:91912767%7Clid:2812558821%7Cmt:Exact%7Cnw:search%7Ccrid:12069214887&gclid=CKv0qtiBxbMCFS56cAodbRQAJw
Heres a bit more rim depth:

I have np with any offers at all, low or high so thats cool Pistoffski!
Fair? I thought my asking price was fair tbh. Regardless this offer is quite abit less than a 3rd of retail on a bike less than a year old thats hardly ridden and in great condition. I have no doubt it was a serious offer.
Thanks tho!

Agree, if it wasent bikes it would be something else. Rather spend on silly bike purchases than a new 3k lens for a camera or something similar, that in my world seems outrageous! 250gbp stems not so much :) Atleast cycling gets you outdoors and healthy!
