Yeah it would look good with a flite! My but would object tho. Deep bars for sure. Stem would be tricky maybe a serotta ti quill with a record ti post. But there you are. all of a sudden its an expensive bike.

I was at an lbs the other day and saw one of those rare flights in all carbon including the rails with a weird name. Something like flite evo 3 or similar. Had not seen one of those before. wouldent put that on this but it looked kinda cool.

Heheh i just did that. Im pretty booring as i always end up thinking record ten and some carbon wheels. Im not so much for classic builds.

I tend to agree. As an item tho, that stem is just beautiful!

Think big part of it is that these stems usually have a pretty large stack height as they often have cablehanger and "spacers" integrated into the design making them stand out abit to much esp when paired with a rather sleak steel fork.

I dont particularly like a "do it all bike" so it makes sense to have it as pure as possible.

If i were to guess a half degree change in seat tube angle would be less than 3mm difference at the point where the wheel would rub the seattube. But thats me shooting wild!

Hehe thats funny cause i was thinking the same thing just a year ago. I never had the fonds to realize that thought tho. Ive never had a pure Randonneur mainly cause my riding dont really need it but i always thought they are some of the nicest bikes out there.

Last week i got a hack in a frame that wasent my fault. Just very frustrating when somebody else damage your gear. I remember mumbling to myself that its not as bad when you do it yourself. Today i crashed after having a bag i had on my handlebar (stupid i know) catch the wheel. Wheel destroyed and shifters scratched etc.

Now i think its better when somebody else eff your stuff up :) Both sux tho!

Depending on how you phrased above to the woman it could just mean that you got a price from a bike shop what it would cost to fix it. Or did you say you fixed it in print, or have the conversation implied so allrdy?

Even wheels are perfect. (yours look exactly like mine did btw, like the ceramic coating is chipping at the edges. Poor quality controle on the later ceramics)
