Yeah, just use their internet price match (click on the price match bit on this page: Bontrager SSR VR-C Handlebar | Evans Cycles).
And the link you need to give them is http://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/product/123770.html -

The similarly-shaped Nitto M106 bars have cable grooves, but they are silly money compared to the Bontragers.
Indeed. Just ordered a pair from Evans, price matched from All Terrain Cycles, meaning that the Bontrager ones are £16.50 including delivery.

Thanks. So in general they're allowed on the route, it's just a question of the train guard allowing it or not? I've only previously taken bikes on the train back from Brighton, and that was perfect. They looked surprised to even be asked if it was allowed, and there was specific bike space and everything. I'm hoping Cambridge will be just as easy.

I'm being dumb and finding this hard to understand:
http://www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/static/filemanager/cycle_restrictions_map.jpgDoes it mean there are no cycle restrictions on a train from Cambridge to London? So if four people just rock up with bikes and ask for a ticket on the next train to London, we won't have needed to reserve bike space or anything?
(This will be on a Saturday evening if that helps)
Cheers

Wow, some really nice ones up there. Tel, how do you find so many in such good condition? Have you been scouring the attics and garages of Holland?
I've never seen any around London, but there seem to be loads on the forum, obviously they are a sign of good taste. When I get a job I intend to buy another to convert - as tastefully as possible this time hopefully.
That carbon one looks absolutely awesome, IMO it seems these frames suit all sorts of different ways of building them up, saw one on here recently converted to fixed with risers, black wheels and messenger cranks and it looked really good too.

I wouldn't know about that...
The stuff that isn't secret, actually poisons our water supplies and definitely causes earthquakes sounds about as deadly as any secret überweapon hidden in Alaska!
Obviously I'm not actually an expert, but this article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17726538 says that coal mining causes earthquakes too, and basically it's not as big a deal as it sounds, and at least fracking creates gas which is a relatively clean fossil fuel - so less bad for the environment than burning coal or oil. Basically two sides to every story and all - but unless we reduce our energy use, then we need it to come from somewhere, and you could make a case for fracking being less bad overall than coal, gas, nuclear etc.
But I can see why it's scary!

Awesome, that's really helpful - the Saturday in question isn't for a few weeks. Thanks very much.
