Having clear out of bits. I have some Crank Bros. pedals that I bought from snottyotter a few years back. There's quite bit of play i them as I hammered them through a couple of winters. Was gonna service as I think there's a kit you can buy but switched to SPDs before getting around to it. Would be good for a beater or someone trying out clipless. Free to a good home

I have the GT gloves and yes they're great. After about 30,000km they stink even after washing. I've had them repaired locally twice. They're the best by far, but the new price is out there.
The pro team gloves seem rubbish in my opinion. Not putting leather between thumb and forefinger is a major design flaw. That section is one of the most heavily rubbed parts. The GT gloves have extra padding there.
I guess being the pro team ones they assume you'll just wear them for one race then chuck em away :)

Little hardman schoolboy cunt jumped out and screamed right in my face as I was going pretty fast past feathers Tesco in Chorlton. I rarely lose it but this time the red mist came down, I could have crashed or swerved across the road into traffic!
Turned around went back seething.
I screamed some abuse as I rode back past and got the old "C'mere and say dat mayyte" from his little skinhead pal.
I nearly did, luckily not. I was seriously pissed off and nearly put my bike in his face and it wouldn't have looked good a 40 year old geezer getting into a fight with 2 schoolboys especially as I teach at a school sometimes. Fucking little cunts. -

Proper segments.
Been up there years ago (not on a bike) stunning view of the Geiranger fjord. Would love to cycle around Norway, they've got the dosh to keep the roads all nice, not like the pock-marked shit you get around here.

Hi, just treated myself to a CAAD10 having got a great deal. It's in the spare room yet to be built up as I promised myself as part of the deal of getting a new bike that I wouldn't ride it until I'd done a century on my fixed. Having read all the horror stories about BB30 I'm wondering whether to just whack a 105 chain set and adapter on it while I can still get good money for the unused FSA Gossamer it came with.
Worth doing to avoid future headaches? Or is it a case that the majority of BB30s are ok and it's just a case of only the few bad ones get posted about?
Thanks for any opinions.

Decathlon do a singlespeed folding bike for £140: http://www.decathlon.co.uk/bfold-3-folding-bike-city-bike-id_8248975.html
Well she said "Not a girls bike, and not pink" so this might work, ta.

Hi,the other half wants to get into cycling for fitness and 'I m looking for a single speed for her. She's a small size 5'1 so choices are limited. Went to Decathlon yesterday and the only thing suitable size wise was a Hybrid with about 256 (probably shit) gears for £260. Also Evans' single speeds start at £280 and the smallest sizes are 53cm which I think will be too big.
I'm happy to pay for a good 2nd hand bike with decent components either steel/alu frame. Any good places in South Manchester to start looking?
Ta,

jjust a question.. ROse pro SL for anyone? cheapish builds, lighter than Roadlite Al, but not so as Ultimate AL, very nice colours (whiteish finish) and componentry, decent weight (below 8 kg for most builds)
http://www.rosebikes.hu/products/kerekpar/orszaguti-kerekpar/race/pro-sl/
the site will change to the co.uk site once you click on my link. : )
I wish you hadn't posted this Halbert as I'm thinking along these lines now SL Pro 3000 with Ultegra 6800 £1150ish quid with the option to configure stuff hmmmm.
I emailed the guy at the UK HQ and he said drop in any time for a go on their test fleet. He's down in Wiltshire and I'm in Manchester though.
He also said a bloke from Road Cycling UK has one on test at the moment so there should be a review out soon. -
Looking for a single speed for my OH. From out of the blue she said 'I want a bike'.
She's only 5'1 so an xs flat bar something, 'I DO NOT WANT A PINK BIKE OR GIRLS BIKE' she says.
No point spending too much yet as she might not take to it. Flip flop hub might be good as I'm always banging on about how good fixed is for getting in shape but slowly slowly catchy monkey I suppose.
Any help appreciated. Ta
